We live in a regional town, our son is 14 has been chosen to travel to the capital and try out for the Australian team to play soccer overseas! I'm ecstatic for him. Trouble is he's saying he doesn't want to go. He usually is unsure of things then after he has a go says he enjoyed it. He spends too much time on his games (does well in school, has jobs around the house, he's a good kid, not always the most respectful can be a bit of a di*K really). Do we just tell him he has to go, I know he'd love it, and it's a great opportunity even if he's not selected. I'd hate for him to regret it.
