Circumcision

Answered 2 months ago

Husband is uncircumcised and had a lot of problems with his foreskin when he was young. I live him as he is, but think I'd prefer to have our future son(s) circumcised. He seems to be fine with me making the decision. Any other mums out there in a similar situation? Are you happy you had your sons done?

A guy here who is circumcised and wishes he wasn't done as a child. Never experienced life with a foreskin, so I guess difficult to know any different. But do wish the choice had been mine.

ANSWER

I got a circumcision late in life because I was never happy with my long foreskin. For me it was purely personal. I love being circumcised I love the cleanliness and I love the way it looks. Sexually for me it enhances everything. For my wife ..I am her first circumcised man and she loved it from when I had it done. Being circumcised has been a great decision.

ANSWER

I'm loath to admit it.
But both my sons were 'done'. I do regret it now.
They are 16 and 17 now, and not the norm.
The reason was hygiene. Their dad was a submariner, and he said living on a submarine with other men who didn't wash their dick properly was completely foul. The stench.
I suppose those stink-asses were never taught how to wash themselves?
Back then I hadn't toured enough dicks to know the difference.
Would do it differently now.

If it's not broken, don't try to fix it. Sons are uncircumcised. Husband is circumcised. I like him being circumcised, like the look and feel etc.. But I would never have my sons circumcised unnecessarily. I have experienced both (a long time ago now), but both have benefits and disadvantages. Previous boyfriends you could masturbate so much easier. But I have a lot more orgasms with my husband as he can last so much longer than ex uncircumcised boyfriends. I can get dry though if we have sex for a long time but a drop of lube helps with this.

I couldn't agree more. Hubby's parents didn't have him circumcised but he opted to get it done in his 20s. I love his penis being sleek, tight and gorgeous. It feels great, too.
But he's glad he had the choice and we would both convey that choice on any sons we had by leaving them intact.

In Adelaide here, got four boys all circumcised with a gomco. Husband was done as a teenager, it’s just cleaner for them. White cocks look weird with foreskin anyways.

As a circumcision should be. No point doing a job by halves!
Did you specifically ask for Gomco, and for it to be high and tight?
It's good for others to know there are different outcomes so they can request what they want if they decide to circumcise.

As I understand from my hubby who was circumcised in his 20s, a "high" circumcision has the scar further down the shaft, away from the head (leaving proportionally more inner foreskin), while a "low" circumcision has the scar close to the head.
"Tight" or "loose" refer to how movable the skin on the shaft is, as a result of the amount of skin removed.
Some people consider "high and tight" (with the scar well away from the head and not much movable skin) to give the best cosmetic outcome - although I guess that's subjective.
Hubby is "high and tight". I love it :-)

REPLY
I definitely asked for a high and tight. It’s just the right way to do it, every girl they’re with can see the brown ring and know it’s good to go. Tight is better, it slows down on masturbating and encourages finding a partner.

such nonsense.
the only reason someone would not be clean there (regardless if foreskin or not), is lack of hygiene. if cleaned regularly, it's not dirtier than anything else.
there are certain benefits but as much as I'm concerned, they aren't really worth it (unless a medical condition occurs that would be resolved by it). and parents should let their kids decide for themselves when they're old enough to research it properly themselves instead of parents "pushing" it on them by making bs claims like "much cleaner".
and lastly, since women don't have a foreskin, should say have any say on the matter? especially when it's uneducated and wrong facts?
God forbid men stating opinions on women's body matters but the other way around is fine?
(I find it ridiculous either way, everybody should be able to state opinions regardless, but I couldn't get around noticing it)

I'm in Sydney and husband is circumcised. He was done as a teenager for medical reasons which he says was an awful experience. I really do like it and he doesn't. He has never had sex with his foreskin so doesn't know any different. He is the first circumcised man I ever slept with and a few benefits are, always nice and clean, his glans are much bigger and pronounced than previous uncircumcised partners, he is a bit harder and thrusts deeper when he going to cum which i like the feeling of. Handjobs are a pain so a blowjob is much better for him. We have 3 sons and never circumcised them. My sisters husband can't pull his foreskin back at all so not sure what the solution is for him other than circumcision.

Tell your husband he's not missing anything and to embrace his circumcised status!
I was done in my 20s because I wanted to.
It looks better and I like the feeling during sex much better. Before, my foreskin would roll around inside women, which I didn't like.
The feeling now with the tight skin and exposed head is great. It's enhanced sex for me, although I know there are some guys who are unhappy being circumcised.
I guess I'm happy I had the choice though.

I remember growing up learning about circumcision and telling myself I will never do it to my sons, luckily for me the man I married grew up telling himself the same thing. My husband and 2 boys are intact, the boys are more than happy with what they’ve got

ANSWER

I’m a Dad (not a mum but I’m allowed to have a say) with 4 boys 13,11, 9 and 7 all with our foreskins intact. None of us have had any problems just like 95% of all other boys and men who remain intact.
We never ‘fiddled’ with our boys foreskin as babies or toddlers however when they were 4 or 5 yrs of age they would sneak in for a shower with me and they were fascinated with seeing me simply retract and rinse under my foreskin.
They naturally started retracting and clean themselves (ha ha…mainly playing with themselves as it felt good they told me).
We have always been open to nudity and discuss openly about male and female genitalia, hygiene, pleasure of masturbating etc
We also discuss about the functions of the foreskin and the added sensitivity for heightened pleasures. My eldest appreciates his foreskin and how important it is sexually and says he knows what he needs to explain to partners about pleasuring foreplay etc.
Being in the health setting I’m afraid that there is so much ignorance and medical disinformation in regards to the penis, and mainly with the role and function of the human penile foreskin.
The 5% of boys and men who have foreskin problems can quickly be resolved with conservative treatments including the conditions of Balanitis and phimosis!
Even men who may have bothersome phimosis (1-2% develop or have this since teenage years) can quickly be resolved within a few weeks with a simple home device that’s having current clinical trials in Brisbane showing results to work 100% of the time so far.
So if your husband still has problems, fix it once and for all with friendly conservative measures.
With future boys allow them to have full sensitivity of their genitalia. There is plenty of recent literature condemning the circumcision of children as unethical. Not a recommended medical procedure in Australia however this unethical procedure can be ordered by a parent…makes me think I should be able to order a tattoo for my boy…

Husband is uncut, so much more fun to play with that previous circumcised partner. Understand if you get done for medical reasons, but if it doesn't need doing - leave it as it is. This is such a personal choice.
Some people get it done for looks, some for religious reasons and some just because it's preffered apparently in men. It's honestly something that both your husband and yourself should discuss and agree with. I am against it personally, my husband was for it. My reasoning was I could not put our child through pain (even if its mere minutes) for vanity reasons. If it was deemed medically necessary then of course I would have, but its not a medical necessity. I just couldn't put a baby through it. Again, it is a personal choice. Unfortunetly its an important one as having it done when older is apprently very, very painful so people told me. Again, I didn't get it done for my son because it's not a medically needed procedure. It's more "vanity".
But its up to you what you decide is best for your child.
