Hi guys, not sure how to go about this, my DIL is adamant she wants to bed share with her newborn baby, we get along quite well but despite me urging against it and showing her the risks she says her family said it’s perfectly fine & safe because they did it & nothing ever happened, they said as long as she’s a light sleeper it’s fine. Both her and the partner are bigger than average and share a double bed. This is my first grandchild and I’m so stressed and worried about the little one’s safety, my son doesn’t want to take the risk but she’s adamant. Both are in late teens for some context.
