Help me not cheat on my husband!

Answered 9 months ago

I've been with my husband for almost 20 years, and I love him so much. But, lately, theres a co-worker of mine who has really piqued my interest. At first I thought it was just as a friend, then I realised it was a bit of a crush. Now I'm starting to feel different, deeper feelings towards him. The co-worker (gonna call him James) and I have always been kind of lightly flirty, but again, it started off as purely friend based. I feel like he has a crush on me too, judging by the way he is with me, and by some of the things he's said. He is also married. So, my problem is, I love mu husband, and don't want to leave him or cheat on him. However, I can't get James out of my head. I'm almost obsessing over him. Like "is he in today, I wonder what cologne he has on, are we scheduled together on any upcoming projects, is it obvious to everybody that I'm crushing on him" etc. How do I calm down and get over this?

Before you do anything, research Betrayal Trauma, PTSD, what is required to rebuild trust & relationships. The fallout is nowhere near any benefit you may gain.

Distance yourself from the Co-worker & reconnect with your husband.

I speak from experience .....
