A quick-thinking dad had a clever response after learning that his daughter wet her pants at school.
Ben Sowards was at home on Friday when he got a call from the school of his six-year-old daughter, Valerie, that his daughter had wet her pants, was crying, and she wanted to be picked up, Fox 13 reported.
The brilliant dad then thought of something clever to ease his daughter. He poured water on his own pants to make it appear as though he had wet himself too, and then hopped in the car.
When he picked up Valerie, he used her backpack to cover himself up, before revealing his already wet pants, which Valerie thought was hilarious, The pair then posed for a photo, which Mr Sowards’s older daughter Lucinda uploaded on Twitter.
The photo immediately went viral with over 63,000 retweets and 255,000 likes, with people calling Mr Sowards, “Father of the Year”.
Lucinda, who is the oldest of 13 children (some of whom are foster kids), told Buzzfeed News how her dad also did something clever when she fell while ice skating a few years ago. “He FaceTimed me “” he had vividly painted a black eye that matched mine,” she said.
Yahoo Style requested Mr Sowards for comment, but hasn’t yet responded.
Fox 13 reported that he is adopting four of his foster kids.
