This is the adorable moment a deaf grandma spoke to her deaf granddaughter in sign language.
Aria McMahon is deaf, so is her grandmother, Pamela, and when they met when Aria was nine weeks old, something magical has happened, and that special bond didn’t go unnoticed as Aria’s mum, Shari captured every bit of that moment.
Shari shared the footage on her Facebook page, where Aria can be seen looking intently at Pamela as she spoke to Aria in sign language, while the baby lies on Panela’s lap, smiling and cooing. Pamela is asking Aria if she can sign “Grandma”, then she helped Aria to do the sign.
“They have a special bond and my mum misses her so much. Aria is almost 5 months old now and she hasn’t been signing lately but always ‘listens’ intently to people signing to her,” she said.
Shari said that Aria is the fifth generation deaf in their family as almost every member of their family is deaf.
The video has now gained more than one million views, over 4,800 reactions and more than 10,700 shares.
