8 Mind-Blowing Answers To Our Ask SAHM Poll Question “Have You Ever Been Unfaithful?”

Yep, our Ask SAHMers are full of surprises and mind-blowing thoughts!

So someone started an Ask SAHM poll question, asking our Ask SAHMers, “Have you ever been unfaithful?“, and the answers were downright astonishing!

Now, along with the poll question are some answers from Ask SAHMers which really blew our minds here at SAHM! But before we get to that, we would just like to thank all our Ask SAHMers who took time to reveal their thoughts to us.

The Results:

• Around 18% of them answered they cheated with their partners more than once with one person.

• 13% said they were unfaithful only once.

• 10% revealed they cheated on their partners with more than one person

• 5% became unfaithful to their partners with more than five people!

1. I Cheated on my ex

“Not on my husband, but I cheated on an ex before. I know it wasn’t right to do, but at the time it made sense to me. It was an abusive relationship and he had threatened me and my family if I ever left him. And after the things he did to me, I very easily believed he would carry out those threats if I left him. I cheated because I thought: a) someone will realise that he was mistreating me and “rescue” me b) that he would find out and leave me in disgust at my actions It didn’t work.

I don’t regret my actions, not exactly. I thought they were the best at the time. But I’m certainly not proud of them. He was a piece of shit, but I should have respected myself a bit more and done things right. It turned out that I did leave him. And whilst he did stalk me for a while and try to abduct me at one point, he didn’t hurt my family. So that’s a plus oh, and the guy I cheated with turned out to be a good friend. One I still speak to today.”

2. I had a “Friend with benefits” 

“When I met my hubby I had a friends with benefits. I don’t know if that classifies as cheating (hubby knew about the friend) but when things got serious with him I ended it with the friend. That was 12 years ago and I’ve only been with my husband since. Physically and emotionally. As this is anonymous, I will admit to cheating on my ex who I was with for 7 years.

More than once (Maybe with 4 different people). Young and dumb I was.“

3. I was “The other woman”

“I have been the other women for just over 8 years. Quite happy with what we have. Don’t want any more from him, don’t want him to leave his wife for me. People will judge me. But it works for us and his wife knows.”

4. I’m Hot for the sweet, single dad

“I am not cheating as in having sex or a relationship behind my husbands back but I suppose you can say I am being unfaithful. My husband and I have had a rocky past 4 years. We had a trial separation where he went on numerous dating sites and met several women. We then separated for a few months where he did the same (yes I am stupid for taking him back, I just so desperately wanted to hold my family together and was gutted at the fact my children would be spending Christmases etc with another woman and my husband).

In the interim I have met a gorgeous, sweet single dad who lives not far from me and our daughters play together. I would date him in a heartbeat if my situation were different.”

5. I Loved the Married Guy

“I cheated on neglectful manipulative partner with one married guy, it lasted 20 years. He was the love of my life.”

6. I Wanted to Bang My ex-BIL

“I’ve never cheated but given the chance I would have f**ked my ex BIL. The sexual tension between us was so intense. Due to the fact we were both married we never acted i it except for footsies under the dinner table. We are both divorced and in new marriages now but if we were single at the same time I would have been straight to him.”

7. I had a two-year torrid affair

“Yep. I was married to a narcissistic selfish prick. I met a wonderful guy (also married) through my workplace, and we had the most amazing 2 years of secret liaisons, texting/email, and phone calls. We also managed a few trips away together too. We loved each other and he changed my life.”

8. I cheated on my abusive alcoholic husband

“I cheated on my ex husband with more than one person. My ex was an abusive alcoholic. I knew I was unhappy and wanted to leave him but I didn’t know how to. I was young and stupid with no children. I had emotionally checked out of the relationship even tho we were still married.

I was dreadfully unhappy and wanted out, our lives were a complete mess. Since then I’ve been remarried, had two children and have never cheated since. Maybe a leopard can change its spots!!!”
