Wine Poached Salmon, is like being given a present for dinner, you open that little parcel and are suddenly hit with the beautiful aroma of flavours. Plus who doesn’t like a recipe that contains wine?
Method
Add butter to a large frying pan to heat.
Add onions carrots and celery to the pan,stirring until cooked for 5 minutes.
Add the water, Dry white wine and a pinch of salt and pepper, letting the mixture just simmer in the pan for 5 minutes.
You will need to wrap the salmon in either cheesecloth or muslin, then place the wrapped steaks into the boiling mixture.
It is important to simmer covered on a low heat for about 15 minutes.
Carefully remove the salmon from the pan. Remember when unwrapping to be careful of steam.
Serve.
