For us, steak is a special treat and we like to savour it with this super yummy Steak Diane Sauce.
For steak lovers, this sauce is incredibly simple and the perfect way to dress up a steak without taking anything away from the flavour of the meat.
This particular recipe is actually my mum’s, which isn’t as spice-heavy as the Steak Diane Sauce you might get in a restaurant. However, that makes it great for kids and pretty much everyone else! The other great thing about this recipe is it’s so easy, mostly thanks to the drool-inducing Fountain Steak Sauce, which we love.
Now, let me just say something about Fountain and their sauces. I have two very fussy eaters in my house, who like things a certain way and struggle with change. I was worried when I saw the new design of the Fountain sauce bottles that something had changed in the recipe. The sauces have been a part of our weekly meal line up forever, but the recipes are still the same. It’s just a new look, and frankly I really like it.
I know what you’re thinking, a sauce is a sauce right? Well, not really. Fountain is one of Australia’s favourite sauce brands for good reason, but I really love their sauces because they can be used as a base for a recipe, a marinade, a finishing sauce or even a dipping sauce. Anytime I want to add serious flavour to my dinners, I use Fountain.
Of course my boys love them, so I know to stick with what works, but Fountain’s products just make meal planning and cooking so much easier, they’re a lifesaver. Even more so now that school has started, and I’m running about like a headless chicken without the stress of dinner. With their sauces, and there are lots to choose from, I know that either my husband or I will be able to get dinner on the table, stat.
