Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
If you haven’t already, drag that slow cooker out of the cupboard and start cooking! Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore is a delicious tomato based chicken casserole that is very hearty and delicious.
It is a frugal dish as you use chicken pieces with the bone in which only costs a few dollars per kilogram. If you love Italian style food, you will adore this recipe. Don’t be stingy with the garlic and olives, as they really infuse their flavour with the chicken on the bone, making it salty and delicious!

Zap the bacon in the microwave until juices start to come out (about 1 - 2 minutes).

Place all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook for four hours on high, or 6 hours on low.

Serve with mashed potato or save the extra sauce and add a tin of white beans in the last hour.
