Place the mashed potato in a bowl and mix in the butter, egg, and salt.

Sift the self-raising flour well. Gradually add the flour to the mashed potato mix. You may not need all of the flour.

Knead gently, divide into equal 10 balls (or 8 depending on how big you want them).
