Peach Cobbler is a really easy dessert to make – and you don’t have to use peaches. You can use just about any other tinned fruit you like! Perfect served with custard or ice cream!
Method
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
-
Spray the base of a shallow oven proof dish with cooking spray.
-
Combine the self raising flour, sugar, butter and milk in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
-
Stir in the peach slices until combined.
-
Transfer the mixture to the oven proof dish and place in oven.
-
Bake for approx 45 mins.
-
Peach Cobbler is suitable to freeze for up to two months.
-
If the Peach Cobbler is browning too quickly in the oven, place a cover or foil over the dish for the last 10 mins of cooking time to prevent burning.
-
You can use fresh fruit if you wish by stewing it first then adding instead of the tinned fruit.
