Ham and Cheese Stuffed Pork Tenderloin is a delicious lunch and dinner idea that the whole family will enjoy.
You know that roster of recipes or menu that you usually make for lunch and dinner repeatedly?
Sometimes we repeatedly make the same stuff, it’s still delicious but eat it several more times and it feels blah. Boring!
But this makes you feel like you’re whipping up something for an ocassion, but really it’s not!
It’s juicy, meaty, and flavourful, plus goes well with several appetizers and dips.
However, if you want to whip this up for a dinner date just for two, or if you’re celebrating something and it’s just you and your small family, this is a winner. Definitely try making this.
Method
-
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, cumin, salt, coriander, celery seeds, and oregano then stir together. Set aside and then preheat oven to 180C.
-
Place the flattened and tenderized pork loin on a flat surface, and make sure it has been cut triple its original size.
-
Season and rub the ingredients generously into the meat then place the ham side by side. Layer as many ham slices as you want then cover with shredded cheese.
-
Roll the pork tenderloin and tie contents securely using butcher twine.
-
Place into a wire rack and then place inside the oven. Roast for 90 minutes.
-
Once done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 30 minutes.
-
Heat a pan and then add vegetable oil.
-
Once oil and pan is hot enough, place the pork tenderloin and sear on all sides evenly, around 3-5 minutes per side.
-
Remove from the pan and place back on the wire rack to drain oil. Then remove butcher twine before slicing.
-
If preffered, add more cheese on top before serving or dip in gravy.
