Make yourself this delicious and tasty dip that is popular for a good reason! This Traditional Chickpea Hummus recipe is super easy to make. You can experiment with it a bit and even add hot paprika to add a bit of fire! 🙂
Method
In a small saucepan, cook the onion and garlic stirring until the onion is soft.
Add the cumin and cook stirring continuously until fragrant.
Turn off heat and leave to cook for about 5 minutes.
In a food processor, blend the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, coriader, paprika, buttermilk and onion mixture until smooth.
Serve in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil.
Recipe Hints and Tips:
Hummus is not suitable for freezing though will keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
