Traditional Anzac Biscuits are a fun, simple and delicious biscuit to make and eat.

Method

Preheat oven to 180C.

In a bowl combine the oats, flour, sugar and coconut.

Put the butter and syrup in a small saucepan and melt over low heat.

Combine the bicarb and the hot water and add to the butter mixture. Stir into the dry ingredients.

Place tablespoons of the mixture on a greased baking tray allowing plenty of room for spreading.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until just browned.

Transfer the Anzac biscuits to a wire rack to cool.
