5 Ingredient Churros
Make this famous Spanish sweet in your own home with only five ingredients!!
Method

Place butter and 1 1/4 cups water in a saucepan over moderate heat; cook and stir for 3 minutes or until melted and combined.

Add flour and baking powder; cook and stir for 2 minuted or until mixture comes away from side of pan.

Transfer to a heatproof bowl. Cool slightly

Heat oil in a large heavy-based saucepan over moderate heat (oil is ready when a cube of bread crisps quickly without absorbing oil)

Line a baking tray with baking paper

Spoon dough into a cloth piping bag fitted with a 1.5cm star nozzle. Pipe 12 x 12cm lengths of dough onto prepared rety, cutting ends with a sharp knife.

Using a spatula, transfer churros (in batches) to hot oil.

Deep-fry for 4 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

Using a slotted spoon, transfer to paper towel to drain.

Serve with caramel or melted chocolate
Delicious and just as good as doughnuts…..maybe even better!!
