French Onion Soup Flavoured Rissoles are the perfect comfort food for cold winter days. They’re yummy meat patties that are full of flavour, and they’re perfect for kids and adults alike. The best part about them is that they’re easy to make, and you can make them ahead of time and freeze them for later.
So if you’re looking for a delicious and easy winter dish, this soup is the way to go!
Any Aussie worth their salt knows how to make a good rissole. They’re the perfect comfort food, and can be easily jazzed up with different flavours. But when it comes to French onion soup flavoured rissoles, there’s only one way to do it – like mum used to make them.
First, you’ll need to caramelise some onions. This is key, as it gives the rissoles that deep, rich flavour that makes French onion soup so delicious. Once the onions are nicely caramelised, add in some garlic and thyme and give everything a good stir. Then, it’s time to add the beef mince.
You want to make sure the mince is nice and lean, as this will help to keep the rissoles from being too greasy. Once everything is combined, shape the mixture into little balls and then fry them in a hot pan until they’re nice and crispy on the outside.
To finish things off, dunk the rissoles in some French onion soup (homemade if you’re feeling fancy) and enjoy! These little beauties are guaranteed to hit the spot – just like mum used to make them. Bon appetit!
