This cocktail is said to be named after either Queen Mary I of England (Henry the VIII’s daughter and sister to Queen Elizabeth 1st) or ghost/witch (Bloody Mary Worth).
A bartender in Paris claims to have invented it some time during the 1920.
Method
Place the crushed ice in a High Ball glass.
Add Tabasco and Worcestershire sauces, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Stir well.
Pour in Vodka and tomato juice.
Stir. MMMMM...Time to enjoy a Bloody Mary!
Garnish with celery stick
For a Virgin Bloody Mary, just leave out the vodka
