Summer is here! Wine time should be everyday, so this list is actually okay for any season!
Wine slushies are everything when the smoldering heat of the sun is felt during the summer. One sip and aaaahhh, you’ll be feeling cool as a cucumber.
Here are some of the best wine slushie recipes that we have tried and we want you to try ’em too!
1. Strawberry & Peach Wine Slushies
In a blender, process the strawberries and 3/4 cup of wine until slushy. Place 2 glasses in a loaf pan at a tilt. Spoon or pour the strawberry slush into the glass. Rinse blender. Blend remaining wine and peaches until slushy. Carefully spoon in the peach layer, gently pushing the slush towards the bottom of the glass. Serve immediately or freeze, standing the glasses upright.
2. Strawberry White Wine Slushie
Pour wine in ice cube trays. Freeze until firm.
Take wine cubes out of tray and place in immersion stick blender.
A regular blender will also do. Pulse a few times until wine cubes are crushed up and of a slushy-like consistency. Pour into a glass and enjoy on a beautiful sunny day.
3. Strawberry Prosecco Slushie
Place prosecco, orange juice, honey, and frozen strawberries in blender. Blend until smooth. Garnish with orange slices and/or strawberries as desired. Serve immediately.
4. Peach Moscato Wine Slushies
Peel and chop the apples. Then, hull the strawberries, reserving two strawberries to use as a garnish. Cut strawberries in half and sprinkle with sugar and stir. Set strawberries aside. Push prepared apples through a juicer or blend in a food processor or blender. Repeat the same process with the strawberries. Combine apples and strawberries and mix in the vanilla syrup. Fill two tall glasses ½ to 3/4 full with crushed ice. Pour in prepared juice and garnish with the strawberries.
5. Watermelon Wine Slushie
Put the watermelon cubes into a plastic zip top bag and then into the freezer until frozen, at least 2 hours. Put the watermelon, the lemon juice, the sugar and the cold white wine into a blender and whiz it around until it is smooth. Pour the mixture back into the plastic bag and back into the freezer. Leave it there until it is good and frozen, squishing it now and then for at least 3 hours. Transfer the frozen mixture into a wine glass filling it 2/3 full. Top with a bit more wine.
6. Moscato Slush
For each serving, you will need one cup of ice and a half cup of Moscato. Then, pour ice and moscato into a blender. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds. Pour into your serving glass and garnish with a strawberry.
7. Strawberry Red Wine Slushies
You will be needing one cup of frozen strawberries, 1½ cups red wine, 4 ounces of Skinny syrup.
To make the Skinny syrup, you will be needing ½ cup water and 12 packets of Sweet n’ Low. Pour these in a pot and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and stir to dissolve the sweetener. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
8. Cantaloupe Wine Slushies
You will need a large cantaloupe, 1 (750mL) bottle of your favorite white or rose wine, 2 cups seltzer water, fresh mint, to taste.
Peel and remove seeds from cantaloupe. Chop into chunks and freeze overnight. Place frozen cantaloupe, wine, and seltzer in blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
9. Strawberry Peach Wine Slushies
For this amazing concoction, you will need 1 bottle of white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc), 2 peaches, blanched, peeled, sliced & frozen and 2 cups strawberries, sliced & frozen.
In a blender, combine the 2 cups wine and the peaches. Puree until smooth. Pour mixture in a medium bowl. Add the strawberries and remaining wine to the blender and puree until smooth. If the mixtures are too liquidy, place them in the freezer until they “slush up” – mixing them every 15 minutes. You can make these in advance and defrost for 15 minutes at room temperature before serving.
10. Riesling Strawberry Slushies
This interesting slushie will need 2½ cups hulled strawberries, 1 bottle [750ml] dry Riesling, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and 2½ tablespoons sugar.
Reserve 1 cup of the Riesling cover and place in the fridge to chill.
In a food processor, puree strawberries with the remaining wine, lime juice and sugar. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. When you’re ready to serve [or drink], puree the ice cubes with the remaining wine in your blender.
11. Strawberry Jolly Rancher Wine Slushies
Get a taste of this slushy using 1 cup of frozen strawberries, ½ cup Moscato wine (plus more for blending), ¼ cup Dekuyper Sour Apple Pucker (I usually add a few splashes more), 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (more or less depending on sweetness of strawberries), and fresh strawberry for garnishing.
Add frozen strawberries to a blender. Add in a few splashes of wine to make blending easier. Blend until pureed. Pour in sour apple pucker and blend until smooth. Taste and add powdered sugar if needed. (The sugar really brings out the strawberry flavor. I usually add in more sour apple pucker if it needs more tartness). Blend to thoroughly incorporate the sugar. Pour mixture into ice cube trays. Freeze. When ready to serve, add slushy wine cubes to blender. Blend. Pour into chilled glasses and serve. Garnish with a fresh strawberry if desired.
12. Watermelon White Wine Slushie
You will need 4 cups of watermelon cubes, 2 juiced lemons, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1 bottle of very cold white wine (anything that you like to drink), plus more for serving.
Leave it there until it is good and frozen squishing it every now and then for at least 3 hours. Transfer the frozen mixture into a wine glass filling it 2/3 full. Top with a bit more wine.
13. Tropical Pineapple Margarita Slushies
Enjoy this lovely mix using 4 cups frozen diced pineapple, juice from 2 limes, ¼ cup orange juice concentrate, ½ cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar), 1½ cups tequila, 3/4 cup triple sec, and 1 cup ice cubes.
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend on high speed until mixture is smooth and slushy. Serve margarita slushies in a salt-rimmed glass immediately, OR place in freezer until ready to serve.
14. Summer Fruit Wine Slush
To get this flavoury drink, you will need 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup frozen peaches, 1 cup frozen grapes, and 2 cups of white wine (or Moscato)
In a blender, add wine, strawberries, peaches and grapes and blend well. Pour into a glass, garnish if you’d like and enjoy!
15. Frozen Peach Bellini
You just need 3 cups frozen peach slices, 1 cup mango nectar, and 1 (750-mL) bottle Prosecco, chilled
Combine peach slices and mango nectar in a blender until smooth. Pour peach mixture into champagne flutes until half full. Fill glasses with prosecco. Serve immediately, garnished with peach slices, if desired.
