Maple and Nut Apple Tarts are divine and your taste buds will think Christmas has come early. With a dollop of cream on the side this dessert is a true sweet sensation!
Method

Pour biscuit base packet into bowl and add 4 tablespoons melted butter, mix well then press into 4 mini flan tart tins or one large pie dish.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

In large bowl empty the tin of pie apples, add cinnamon and mix.

In cup, crack egg add milk and mix. Add flour to cup and whisk together with fork. Pour into apples and mix through. Set aside.

Using food processor blend all nuts and brown sugar just until nuts are still chunky.

Place apple mix into tart bases, top with nuts and bake for 20 minutes.

Once cooked drizzle each tart with 1 tablespoon maple syrup.

Serve with dollop cream or ice cream.
Recipe Hints and Tips:
- Maple and Nut Apple Tarts are best served hot, though can be served cold the next day with custard.
- You can also substitute the apple for peaches or apricots.
- Not suitable for freezing
