Coffee Granita is a grown-up version of the kid’s icy drink Slush Puppie. Lovely for when you need that coffee hit but don’t want a hot drink.
Method
Pour the water into a saucepan and add the coffee. Bring to boil making sure all the sugar is dissolved. Place into a shallow tray and freeze.
When frozen place the bottom of the container in hot water for a couple of seconds and tip out onto the board. Chop up into chunks. Place mixture into a blender and process until it forms smalls crystals.
Spoon into serving glasses. Garnish top with a quick spray of whipped cream.
