Get it?

Well, kidding aside. Tis the season where kids and teens are stuck in the house for weeks and sighing out of boredom.

I wonder how with trampolines, hammocks, a huge backyard, board games, computers and the internet they are so bored out of their minds while I recall my early teen days of having to roll back the cassette tape because I want to listen to my favourite song again.

Anyway, back to the recipe. So I would like to suggest a cooking or baking activity that kids will enjoy making and the recipe for that is this Christmas Crack!

Salty salada biscuits covered in chocolate, caramel and sprinkles, what more do you need?!

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C

  2. Line an oven tray with a lip with foil

  3. Melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to the boil, boil for about 5 mins or until the toffee becomes frothy.

  4. Spread the crackers out on the tray and pour the toffee over the top.

  5. Place in the oven for 5 mins or until the toffee has darkened a little more.

  6. Remove from oven, let it sit for a few minutes, then pour over the melted chocolate.

  7. Decorate as desired before the chocolate starts to set.
