  • 4 Eggs
  • 425 g Tin Of Chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa
  • 1.5 cups Milo
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Or Essence
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 170 g Butter melted

Don’t let the name put you off, these Chickpea Milo Brownies are delicious and with no added sugar makes them a little healthier!

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees.

  2. Drain chickpeas, leaving 1/4 of the liquid in tin. Pour into food processor and blend until smooth.

  3. Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa into large mixing bowl, add Milo mix well.

  4. Add melted butter, vanilla and stir well with wooden spoon.

  5. Add blended chickpeas, mixing well with wooden spoon.

  6. Add the eggs to glass and whisk with fork until lightly beaten then add to brownie mix. Mix well until just combine.

  7. Line square cake tin with baking paper and pour in brownie mix.

  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Top should crack slightly.

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Chickpea Milo Brownies should be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days. They can be frozen for up to 4 months.
