This traditional Buttercream Frosting recipe is a delicious icing for cupcakes or can even be used in cake pops to mix them together!
This is super easy and simple – the beaters will do the job for you!
This frosting is a good addition to your cakes and even biscuits if you want them to be more delicious! Fill them in with this and every bite will be unforgettable!

Using electric beaters or a mix master, beat the butter until pale and soft.

Gradually add the sifted icing sugar, beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the hot water and vanilla extract and stir in well.
Recipe Hints and Tips:
- Buttercream Frosting can be made ahead and kept refrigerated for up to three days before use.
- Make sure your cake is totally cooled before adding the icing.
- Also great for fillings in cakes and biscuits.
