A healthier way of having hot chips is to cook them on the BBQ and make an excellent side dish to your dinner.

Method

  1. Wash potatoes, leaving skin on cut potatoes into thin slices approximately 1-1.5cm. Set aside in bowl.

  2. Remove seeds and skin from pumpkin (unless you love pumpkin skin) then slice into slabs 2cm thick.

  3. Place in separate bowl, then drizzle each bowl with oil enough to just coat. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Place on the BBQ plate and cook for 8 minutes each side.

  5. BBQ Chips are not suitable for freezing and best served immediately.

  6. You can top with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce or serve with your favourite steak.
