Summer is a few months away and a good way to prepare for the scorching heat of the sun (well aside from sunblock) is… ICE CREAM!
Yes, I mean who doesn’t love ice cream? All the tasty, gooey, creamy and COOL goodness of ice cream is what everybody needs in the summertime.
It is my spirit animal whenever I am visited by Aunt Flo and trust me, it does make a person happy!
However, we will try to divert from tradition as we showcase the marvelous glory of ice cream without the cone. Ha, we could only dream, but it really is possible to serve ice cream without a cone.
Here are 28 of our favourite ice cream presentations that will leave you asking for more.
1. Ice Cream Sundae Brownie Bowls
So basically, this one has the brownie bowls in substitute for the ice cream cone. There’s also a catch since you could also substitute the scoop of ice cream for butter cream frosting, but that’s not counted because we WANT ice cream! You could then top these with mini M&M’s or candy sprinkles, and chocolate syrup.
2. Ice Cream Taco
Ahh tacos and everything Mexican are my thing, as well as ice cream sooo let’s put them both together, shall we? Basically, we’re going to put some ice cream inside a tortilla shell and sprinkle it with mini marshmallows or just plain sprinkles, douse it with chocolate syrup and top it with cherries. Now I’m drooling!
3. Doughnut Ice Cream Sandwiches
Ugh I’m a sucker for doughnuts AND ice cream and again, the world has been lovely because it’s trying to put both in one serving! So all you gotta do is slice a good ol’ doughnut into two, fill some ice cream at the bottom slice, coat everything in glazed chocolate or sprinkles, put in the freezer and you’re good to go!
4. Brownie Batter Ice Cream Bars
We all love Pat & Stick but we could actually make our own variety of ice cream sandwiches. With this, we’re going to trap some ice cream between two brownie batter slices (ugh, the thought is enticing me).
5. Caramel Pecan Ice Cream Sandwich Cake
Sooo basically, this one’s two layers of ice cream sandwich topped with melted caramel, whipped cream and chopped pecan. Drool worthy!
