Camping…You either love it or you hate it.
My family love camping and we get away as often as we possibly can.
No, I don’t love bugs and no I don’t love the 17 piles of washing that come from arriving home but, for the most part, I do love getting away from the house, setting up camp by a beach or river and parking my butt in a chair with a glass of cool white wine in one hand and a fishing rod in the other.

And the kids, well, they really can’t get enough.
They would probably set up the tent in their bedrooms if I let them or sleep outside on the trampoline every night if they could.

Don’t forget a thing with our camping essentials checklist!
Are you planning a trip soon? Whether you are a seasoned camper or a first-timer, having all the essentials in place is important to make your trip a success. A comprehensive and well-planned essential checklist can make your experience more enjoyable and hassle-free. Here are 45 items that should be on your camping checklist.
First and foremost, you will need a tent, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. Don’t forget to bring a stove and fuel, pots and pans, and utensils for cooking meals. You will also need a cooler or ice chest to keep food and drinks cold and a water filter or purification tablets to ensure access to clean drinking water.
Other essential items to add to your checklist include a first aid kit, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a flashlight or lantern. Packing appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions and a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun is also essential. Don’t forget to bring a map, compass, or GPS device to navigate your surroundings.
Consider bringing a deck of cards, board games, or a book to read for entertainment. You may also want to bring a camera to capture memories of your trip. And, of course, don’t forget to pack toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toilet paper.
In addition to the above items, it is also important to pack emergency supplies such as a whistle, an emergency blanket, and a multi-purpose tool. And if you plan on camping in bear country, bring bear spray and store your food properly.
A well-planned essential checklist can make your camping trip more enjoyable and stress-free. By ensuring you have all the necessary items, you can focus on enjoying the great outdoors and making memories that will last a lifetime.
