The last time I stayed at The Esplanade Hotel it was looking a little tired – but I’m really pleased to read that they have now been refurbished – because this hotel is in a magical spot and it looks just glorious from the outside! The Esplanade would have to be the best-placed boutique hotels in Perth – it is just steps from the water and the Fremantle Markets.

The hotel offers 300 spacious refurbished rooms across ten different room categories. They also offer 3 bars and 2 restaurants to their guests, so there is something for all tastes.

4. The Ritz-Carlton (5 Stars)

Location:1 Barrack Street, Perth,

Located in Barrack Street along the Swan River, The Ritz-Carlton is a very swanky hotel perfect for a dirty weekend away with a loved one.  It is perhaps the highest-rated hotel in Perth – and therefore has to go on the list of best boutique hotels in Perth.

QT Perth is located in the Perth CBD.  All rooms come with satellite channels, a pillow menu, a coffee maker and decadent bedding.

9. Crown Metropol Perth

Location: Bolton Avenue, Burswood

The last time I stayed here it was called The Burswood Casino Hotel (just goes to show how old I am now!) – and it was pretty flash back then!  Now called the Crown Metropol Perth, it has been modernised and offers an elegant and romantic boutique hotel experience for couples.

There is a kids club, valet parking, a wicked pool and family-friendly facilities if you have to bring the kids along.

Burswood is only a few bridges walk to the city – and you can just jump on a bus.
