In totally unexpected and frankly shocking (not) news today, One Nation have proven (yet again) that they’re not fit to run a fast food joint, let alone a part of our country.
David Archibald, the One Nation candidate for the seat of Pilbara in Western Australia, has been slammed today for his totally unsurprising comments of stupid in regard to single mothers. This bastion of equality and civilised leadership (sarcasm) wrote in an article his enlightened views (sarcasm again) on lifestyle choices that he believed could be defunded.
The comments came following Tony Abbott’s move in 2015 to stop supporting remote Aboriginal communities on the basis that traditional people choosing to live on ancestral land were making a lifestyle choice. Archibald wrote that, if we’re taking money away from Australia’s first people for living a life that we interrupted, why not make some other changes at the same time?
Archibald believes that there were “a number of other lifestyle choices that could be defunded” with “the first that springs to mind” for him being single motherhood.
Single Motherhood – According To A Stupid Man
According to the much esteemed (do you see where we’re going with the sarcasm) David Archibald, “these women are to lazy to attract and hold a mate” which he sees as them “undoing the work of possibly three million years of evolutionary pressure”. This is obviously of great concern to Archibald. He believes that it “will result in a rapid rise in the portion of the population that is lazy and ugly”.
Archibald then goes on to note that because we “know what causes pregnancy these days” everyone who get’s pregnant when they aren’t married is a “volunteer”, which is what makes single motherhood “an easy one of defunding”.
In order to test Mr. Archibald’s superior beliefs on the lazy and ugly nature of the children of single women, we spoke to Walt Collins. You might know him as the smoulderingly handsome and stunningly hard-working television presenter of Healthy Homes on Channel 10, among others. He’s also the child of a single mum.
“My mother, along with thousands of mothers across the country struggled to make ends meet to bring me up. She worked any spare hour she could to make up the difference with her benefits and pitiful income to help pay for food and shelter.
She could attract a ‘mate’ quite easily- mum was stunning and far from lazy but all things considered was better off without a man.”

Oh, And Childcare Is Out Too
In the same article, likely noting that his public grave was not yet deep enough, Archibald also commented that federally funded childcare should be cut as well. As all parents know, federally funded childcare is a breeze to navigate, and absolutely affordable thanks to the Government (yeah, right).
Oh, and apparently a “good proportion” of Australia’s 800,000 disabled pensioners are massive liars who are heading off to become terrorists in foreign countries.
Even we lost it there.
Amazingly, but perhaps not surprisingly, David Archibald is standing behind those comments. Even more amazing, but again not all that surprising, is that the One Nation party wasn’t considering cutting Archibald as a candidate.
However, WA’s One Nation Leader Colin Tincknell did say he thought Archibald was “a bit naughty”, although party head Pauline Hanson refused to comment at all, instead tweeting:
“To all the fat lazy politicians & fat lazy journalists in the fat lazy media playing fat lazy, PC, identity politics- The answer is no.”
Well, we can certainly see where David Archibald gets his sense of maturity and decorum (you guessed it: sarcasm).
