Boy Punched and Grabbed By the Throat by Man in QLD Playground

A nine-year-old boy was punched in the face by a man who even tried to strangle him with his hands, while playing in a playground.

The boy was playing with other children on a playground equipment in a park on the corner of Yorrell Street and Ridgewood Road in Algester when he was approached by a man around 4.15pm on September 25.

The boy was then allegedly grabbed by the throat, thrown to the ground and punched in the face several times.

The man then tried to strangle the boy with his hands.

Luckily, the boy managed to free himself from the man and run away. He was not seriously injured during the incident.
