Christy was married to the late John Walton, one of the sons of Walmart founder, Sam Walton. She tops the world’s richest women’s list, above other Walton’s because of her late husband’s investments in First Solar. Christy also holds the top spot for being the most generous. It is reported that she gives the largest percentage of her wealth to charity.
Many of these women were lucky in birth. They were born into the right household and lived a life of wealth and opportunity. Though, few of them have just rested on their laurels, they have been educated and groomed to run their empires and most have done exceptionally well for themselves and their descendants.
