6. Genene Anne Jones
Genene Jones is a former pediatric nurse who is believed to have killed at least 50 infants. Jones injected the infants with digoxin, heparin and later succinylcholine to induce a medical crisis. Her intention was to become a hero to their parents after saving the infants. Unfortunately, the young souls did not survive the initial injection. Jones was sentenced to 99 years in prison.
She is set to be released in less than six months from now, on February 24, 2018, after serving 35 years of her initial sentence.
7. Issei Sagawa
Also known as Pang, Issei Sagawa is a Japanese Hannibal Lecter. While undertaking his doctorate in Paris, Issei Sagawa invited one of his Dutch classmate Renee Hartevelt aged 25, for dinner. He shot the poor girl in the neck with a rifle and ate her over the course of two days. Issei Sagawa was caught while trying to dump her remaining body parts. When asked why he killed her, Sagawa claimed he wanted to absorb her energy. His wealthy background coupled with a strong defense led to his release after 15 months of serving in prison. Issei Sagawa was expedited to Japan. The Japanese Judiciary declared him sane and is now a minor celebrity in Tokyo.

8. Juha Valjakkala
In 1988, Juha Veikko Valjakkala, also known as Nikita Fouganthine became part of the Finnish and Swedish crime history. At the age of 22, Juha was convicted of murdering a family of three at a cemetery in Amsele. The murders happened after he stole a bicycle and was pursued by the owners Sten Nilsson and his 15-year-old son Fredrik. The two chased him to a cemetery where Juha shot both of them dead. Later, Sten’s wife and Fredrik’s mother, Ewa went searching for the two. On reaching the cemetery, Ewa was chased into the woods and was stabbed to death by Valjakkala. After his conviction, Juha escaped prison in 1994 and 2011.
Today, Juha is believed to be living in Helsinki under a different alias.
9. Louis van Schoor
Louis van Schoor is a South African serial killer who was convicted in 1992 for the murder of seven people. At the time, he was a member of the police K-9 unit and a security guard. Louis openly admitted to killing more. Louis was sentenced to 20 years in prison but was released in 2004 after serving 12 years.
10. Jasmine Richardson
Jasmine Richardson is Canada’s youngest serial killer. In 2006, the 12-year-old Jasmine and her 23-year-old boyfriend Jeremy Steinke killed her father Marc, mother Debra and her eight-year-old brother Jacob in cold blood. Due to her young age, Jasmine Richardson was also convicted to ten years in prison — the maximum sentence an offender can receive in Canada.
She was released in 2016 and enrolled in University of Calgary.
