5. Vitasoy Original Oat Milk
Made with Australian grown, GM-free oats, Vitasoy’s oat milk is another great plant milk from one of Australia’s leading manufacturers. Lactose free and with no added sugar, oat milk has the ability to lower your cholesterol, and the oats and fibre do wonders for your body. Of course, it’s also delicious, and widely available in major supermarkets in the long life milk section.
6. Poggio Organic Spelt Milk
No doubt you’ve seen spelt flour on the shelves by now, but did you know that spelt milk is also available? Another kind of grain milk (like oat milk or rice milk), spelt milk is still rare, and Poggio have much of the Australian market. Their version of the milk is very tasty, and as well as being suitable for those with lactose issues and nut allergies, it goes perfectly in coffee and as an all-around dairy alternative. At the moment, Poggio’s milk is only available in Woolworths and some health food stores.
7. Almond Breeze Original Unsweetened Almond Milk
The folks at Almond Breeze really know their almonds, having been in the business for almost a century, and it shows in their products. Almond milk has skyrocketed in popularity in Australia in the last few years, even overtaking soy milk. Almond Breeze’s unsweetened almond milk is everything it should be, healthy and delicious without anything else added. It’s available at both Coles and Woolworths, and worth trying for any almond milk lover.
8. Australia’s Own Organic Macadamia Milk
Available at both Woolworths and Coles, Australia’s Own macadamia milk brings together all the tastiness of macadamias with the health benefits of plant milk. With no added cane sugar, no gluten and no lactose, this certified organic milk is an ideal choice as a dairy alternative. We love how creamy it is, and how delicious it tastes. Perfect as an alternative when you’re over almond milk!
9. Pacific Foods Natural Hazelnut Drink Original
This one isn’t an Australian product, but it is available in some Australian health food stores and is a long life milk so can be easily shipped. Hazelnut milk hasn’t really taken off yet in Australia, which is too bad because it’s scrumptious and reminds us a little of Nutella. Who wouldn’t want to drink that? This dairy alternative is creamy, nutty and just a little sweet. Yum!
Bottoms up!
