Restrictions on Drinking Raspberry Leaf Tea

Raspberry leaf tea may have been said to be extremely beneficial when regularly drunk during pregnancy, but there are several restrictions that need to be followed. After all, pregnancy is a delicate time, and everything that goes into our bodies needs to be regulated and carefully studied. Here are some restrictions that should be practiced:

  • First and foremost, only take red raspberry leaf tea or pills after getting the consent of your doctor, midwife, or health care provider. As with any alternative medicine that we take, raspberry leaf tea should be taken with caution.
  • It is said that raspberry leaf tea should not be taken until at least the 37th week of pregnancy. This is because of the possibility of premature labour (Source).
  • Also, refrain from taking red raspberry leaf tea (or any alternative medicine) on your own if you have hormone-sensitive conditions like cancer that affects the breast, ovaries, and the uterus (Source).
