A bride has found a delectable way of decorating her and her bridesmaids’ bouquets — by filling it with doughnuts.
Paige Kirk, from Sydney, has deliciously turned her wedding bouquet into this delectable treat that has made many future brides rethinking about using flowers for their bouquet.
On an Instagram page, Paige can be seen with her bridesmaids whom she surprised by giving them their own bouquet of doughnuts decorated in ivory icing to match her dress. The video was captioned: ‘The moment that the Bride told the bridesmaids that they’ll be walking down the aisle with donut bouquets!’
Paige told BBC that she and her husband thought ‘it would be different, fun and light-hearted.’
Although incredibly enticing, Paige said that her bridesmaids resisted digging in. “We had plenty of goodies beforehand so we were too full to eat them,” she said.
Actually, Paige won the bouquets as part of a competition, and she was the first bride to take the yummy bouquets down the aisle.
She says the guests loved them. “Everyone thought it was hilarious, and the venue couldn’t believe it.”
She added that in the first place, ‘brides should be a bit more relaxed and have fun!’
The video has now been viewed more than 5,000 times with thousands of comments suggesting their own unique alternatives to wedding flowers.
