7. When visiting a new country, steer clear of places where there are no families, or children, at all.

8. Always have chewing gum with you.
Although not satiating, chewing come can help to distract you from your hunger if you’re really starving. It can also freshen the breath if you’ve had something with lots of garlic or onion.
9. And water. Always have water with you.
You can survive without food for 3 weeks but you absolutely need to drink water regularly or you will get sick and could even die.
10. Make it a habit to always have a walking stick. If not, a big umbrella if you’re out in nature.
If you are the type who likes to walk around, try to bring a walking stick or an umbrella with you. In a pinch, you can use it to defend yourself against dogs, wild animals or even unsavoury people.
11. Don’t leave a clear transparent bottle of water inside your car.
With direct sunlight streaming through your windows and through the clear plastic, you wouldn’t want to start a fire.
12. When crossing a street at night, wave your lit mobile phone toward an approaching vehicle.
Without street lights and reflective clothing, the light coming from your phone is your best bet. Turn it up to its brightest!
13. Switch routes every now and then.
Some crime is opportunistic, but it’s always good to be unpredictable in your life, just in case someone has been studying your habits!
14. Do not sleep during the first 3 minutes and last 8 minutes of your flight.
