You think that you’re the biggest Game of Thrones fan? Uh no. Not until you’ve tried these cocktails that will definitely take your mind off winter and the White Walkers.
I cite Cersei as the ultimate lover of wine in Westeros, but so is little brother Tyrion and most of the royal entourage. Like wine, every one else in Westeros has been aging better, stronger and smarter. Unless they’re dead. Lol.
We shall now take this moment to give an ode to vino.
Here are 19 of our favourite drink recipes inspired by Game of Thrones:
1. White Walker
Tall, icy and bold. Just like everyone’s most hated part of the series, the White Walkers. Drink this while preparing your Dragonglass because winter is still coming and it’s now or never.
2. Blackwater Wildfire Jello
Remember when Tyrion’s face got slashed by a sword in the episode called “Blackwater”? Where the Lannisters were fighting for their precious lives against Stannis’ army? Yep, that was it. Like this Jello infused drink, strong and ruthless.
3. Valar Morghulis
“All men must die.” But not with this lime orange cocktail infused with grenadine.
4. Blood of my Blood
Dany might have eaten the heart of a stallion for heart to be inducted into the Dothraki, but this red wine cocktail is not close to the taste of a stallion’s heart and it will leave you wanting for more.
5. Jaqen H’ghar
One of my favourite characters in the series, Jaqen H’ghar is clearly a good looking mystery amongst common folk. He may be “faceless” but he sure looks good, like this bloody drink.
6.The Night’s Watch
“Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night’s Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.“
“•The Night’s Watch oath
7. Stark Martini
The Lords of the North are just as icy and cold as this martini drink. The Stark’s are my favourite among the families in Westeros though.
8. Highgarden’s Little Rose
This rosé drink is as dainty, pretty and royal as Margaery Tyrell.
