One easy rule to follow when you’re trying to boost your step count is to avoid convenience movers of any kind. This means no elevators, no escalators and no moving footpaths. Wherever possible walk it yourself, even if it means taking some stairs.

If you feel like you have a sedentary lifestyle, try adding a bit of pacing into the mix. Yes, we tend to associate pacing with stress, but wandering around while you take a call or even while you’re thinking might make you feel better as well as boost your steps.
