Sex. It’s one of the cornerstones of our romantic relationships, and thought we don’t like to talk about it in public, it’s more important than you might think.
So if you’re more turned on by the idea of snuggling up under the covers alone than with your significant other, something might be up.
When both parties aren’t satisfied with the sex life in their relationship, there can be increased tension, and a feeling of exhaustion with things not working out. So what is it that’s bringing your libido down? Well, here are some ideas.
1. You Aren’t Sleeping Enough
Sleep is essential for a healthy sex drive, so if you’re up late at night but not getting the boogey on, then you might want to make a change. Less energy in yourself means there’s less energy to get you in the mood, meaning you’re more likely to want to just curl up and chill.
2. Your Contraception Has Changed
Many people don’t realise that the thing they take to have stress-free, pregnancy-free sex can actually crush their libido. Pretty much any chemical contraceptive change (i.e. from the pill, injections or implants) can cause your libido to change. So if you’ve noticed that your sex drive is in the dumps, you might want to talk to your doctor.
