10 Signs He Is Going to Propose

You have been seeing each other for a while now. Things are getting pretty serious. When will he pop the question?

Or will he? You really want that ring on your finger but not sure if it is going to happen or not. We understand the torment of not knowing, so we have some pretty solid advice for you! Here are 10 signs he is going to propose. Read on, ladies!

1.  You Start to See Jewellery Advertisements When On the Internet

Google is amazing.  It “knows” what you (or a special someone) have been looking up on the internet lately, then it shows advertisements that are targeted to what you have been looking for!  So if you all of a sudden start seeing ads for engagement rings, and you’re positive you haven’t been searching for them, someone else has been doing some research on the topic!

2.  He is Talking More About Your Dad

Or spending more time with him. In fact, of lately they are positively best buds. Maybe he might be buttering him up for something… If your beau isn’t close to your Dad, maybe he asks out of the blue your Dad’s mobile number, or suggests a trip to visit your parents, I guess you can start entertaining the idea that something is brewing in that beautiful head of his. *wink*

3.  He Decides to go Shopping – Without You

Because, come on, there are only a few reasons why he would find himself in a mall without you. It could be because he is only buying boy things (video games, anyone?) or it could be he wants to shop in peace and you absolutely cannot be there!  Men as a rule do hate to shop (there are exceptions of course) – but if he starts disappearing at odd times and comes home with a huge grin, there could be something to it.

4.  One of Your Current Rings is Missing

This is a very positive sign! Your new ring will have to fit your finger, so if one of your rings mysteriously goes missing, then miraculously returns, he could be getting a special something sized for your ring finger! We couldn’t think of any other reason why he would be needing your rings all of a sudden, so count on this as one of the surest signs he is going to propose.

5.  He Starts Noticing Your Preferences for Jewellery

He’s commenting on the sizes, shapes and colours of jewellery you see, friends or families rings. He suddenly knows what a ‘Princess’ cut is, what a carat is. There could be no other reason behind the sudden interest.

6. You Have Talked about Having a Family

You know how many kids you both want, and what their names will be.  He talks about being a Dad and the fun things he and his ‘future’ children will do. This is a no-brainer to be completely honest! It’s just a matter of when and not if he’s going to propose.

7. He is Being Frugal

He suddenly doesn’t want to go out for dinner and instead suggests lots of quiet nights at home. If he’s not normally like this, and there’s no other reason you can think of, it’s safe to assume that he’s saving up for something special.

8. He is Unusually Nervous

He’s acting flighty. He’s protective of his phone and jumps every time a package arrives to the house. Hmmmm something is up. Ladies, do not jump to negative conclusions. He may just be jittery over the thought of proposing!

9. It’s Time

This means you two are simply bound for marriage; a proposal is an expected milestone along the journey. If your relationship has done nothing but go from strength to strength, you have moved in together, have a joint bank account, maybe even bought a house together – marriage is the next logical step. Maybe he is just waiting for all the pieces to fall into place!

10. Your Friends Start Giving You the ‘Nudge Nudge’

If your potential fiance and your friends get along, have they started having little ‘huddles’ that result in your friends going ‘NAWWWWWWW.’ Great sign!
