Intruders looks to be a horror story with an unexpected twist that may catch viewers by surprise. It follows agoraphobic woman Anna as she struggles with both her phobia and the death of her carer, and brother. When her brother dies and leaves her a large amount of money, three intruders attempt to break into the house to find it. What follows is less the prisoner genre, and more a gory horror show, with an unexpected person leading the way.

When you bring real life into horror, things always feel just a tad creepier. That’s pretty much guaranteed to be the case with The Forest which revolves around Japan’s ‘Suicide Forest’, a real place located on the Northwest base of Mount Fuji. The area is so well known as a location for suicides that signs at the entrance list suicide prevention hotlines. However, The Forest film also digs into Japan’s local mythology, while at the same time providing an experience similar to The Blair Witch Project in terms of how it progresses.
