A young venomous snake has caused chaos not only in a man’s home but among internet users as well after it has been spotted (or barely) near a baby’s cot.
With the snake barely seen in the photo, Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers has posted on its Facebook page a photo of the snake, urging people on social media to see if they can spot the snake.
The group explained that a man from Little Mountain was vacuuming his house when he saw what he thought was a young brown snake in the babies room. While keeping an eye on the snake, the man called the group who eventually captured the snake that was hiding next to the box of nappies on the left side of the cot.
The group said that the snake was identified as a young mildly venomous yellow-faced whip snake which grows up to one-metre in length, with its venom causing much swelling and pain to humans.
The photo shows just how Australian homeowners need to be vigilant in keeping an eye out for the dangerous reptiles during the upcoming snake season.
