4. Gums:

Natural gums can be classified according to their origins. Some are made from seaweeds like agar and carrageenan. However, in the food industry, there are also synthetic or processed gums that are widely used in many ways and most of these have been combined with chemicals like formaldehyde which is linked to cancer.

5. Flavour enhancer:

Most of us loved to eat our foods when the flavours are overpowering. The use of flavour enhancer like MSG (monosodium glutamate) is added to processed foods especially sausages, sauces, prepared meals, and condiments. In fact, we consume these taste enhancers almost everyday and most of the time in alarming amounts. It has been linked that this food additives can cause mild to severe allergic reactions, diabetes and again cancer.
