6. Padding for Breakable Items

Egg cartons work as great package padding for posting breakable goods. Just surround your item in egg cartons, perhaps tape it if they are an odd shape and pop it on the post.

7. Sound Diffusing

Yes, you’d need A LOT

but the egg carton works quite well to muffle sounds. It won’t completely soundproof a room but it will certainly muffle noise!

8. Storage for Small Breakable Items

Egg cartons are the perfect containers for storing golf balls or small Christmas tree baubles that tend to get broken.

9. A Pin Board

Using the bumpy side of the carton only. Join two or three together side by side. Put two small holes in the edge of the top one and thread some string through so you can hang it up. Using simple push pins or thumb tacks you will be able to place any notes, reminders or photos up on the board. So simple yet so effective!

10. Easter Egg Gift Cups/Baskets

Cut the carton into sections and paint the entire piece inside and out. Decorate the outside as desired. Using a hole punch, put a hole near the cut edge on opposite sides of the decorated “cup”. Now thread a pipe cleaner through and twist it back on itself in order to secure it to be in the shape of a handle. Voila! Place an Easter egg inside and add a small tag with a note to finish it off. Great for something a little different in schools, the office or for family members at Easter time.
