Wouldn’t it be great to do your own Christmas card that you can send to friends and family? Oh, just make sure they would love to receive it, too.
If you and your family plan to do a photo shoot for that perfect Christmas card to give to your loved ones, you have the choice to create that perfect pose that would make them feel loved…or one that would make them laugh.
But this particular family, from Aliso Viejo, California, preferred to make their friends LOL.
Mike Bergeron, 42, and his wife, Laura thought of bringing Christmas cheers be felt in their Christmas cards, which they have been making for 13 years already!
Mike told BuzzFeed why they decided to make these hilariously unusual cards. “We thought the Christmas card tradition was ripe for parodying just because of their inherently awkward nature,” he said.
He said that he used to give Christmas gifts to friends and loved one when he was younger, but when he turned 30, he grew tired of expressing how important his loved ones are to him by just giving small gifts. So, he and his wife thought of giving them something bolder, something brighter, and something hysterical.
He said they choose their theme around October before doing the photo shoot by Thanksgiving.
“The card is now our gift to them each year, and it has become pretty highly anticipated and appreciated in our circle of loved ones. It is pretty exciting that the cards have now gone viral and so many other people are getting so much joy from them, as well,” he said.
