Remember the feeling when you were a little child, waking up at the crack of dawn to run full-pelt down to the lounge room in an attempt to catch Santa leaving you presents?
I could only imagine the proud look on my parent’s faces when they sat up in bed to three excited children jumping up and down to the mysterious gifts left under the Christmas tree, which had magically appeared overnight.
The cookies and carrots left for the reindeer’s had been nibbled on and a little bit of soot had been crumbled under the fireplace.
These days, as a first-time parent, it is my turn to play Christmas magic-maker “” only this year I have an extra special trick up the sleeve of my red coat.
It’s called Portable North Pole, an online video application where I can create a personalised message from Santa for my little boy!
I fell in love with this ingenious website about a week ago, and have been spreading Christmas magic to every little family member I can think of “” even the adults are feeling the love.
My sister was almost brought to tears at the excited look on her daughter’s face when Santa took the time to send her a personalised message. She sent me the video when Anabel opened the video, and let me tell you it was well worth the effort.
So how does the Portable North Pole work?
There is a free video option for children, as well as one for adults, so everyone can get a greeting from Santa free! Or you can upgrade to the Premium package for longer videos with even more personalised storylines.
With the Premium package, parents can choose from 7 personalised scenarios, then all you have to do is fill out the child’s details and add some cheeky photos and Santa will say their name, show photos of them in his magic book and mention their good deeds throughout the five-minute video.
The videos range from tours of the North Pole’s post office, visiting the elf house, to discovering Santa’s secret locations.
The videos are incredible quality and as real as they come, so much so it’s hard to not feel the magic as an adult “” let’s face it, everyone wants to believe in Santa.
In an age when children love technology, sending them a message from Santa via the Portable North Pole is the perfect recipe for keeping the magic alive this Christmas.
By sharing a few details about the child, you can send a totally unique greeting that sparks your child’s imagination and makes the holidays that much more fun. So if you’re struggling with your children’s belief in Santa, send them a little personalised message. It’s worth every cent.
Another fantastic application of the Portable North Pole website is Santa Calls “” a direct line from Santa to your phone.
It allows you to choose from several personalised scenarios, from congratulations, behavioural., encouragement and of course, one for Christmas Eve.
My personal favourite is the “Try Hard to listen to Mum” phone call. Children take these things seriously when it comes from Santa, believe me!
The Portable North Pole donates 5% of all proceeds from online sales to kids to over 40 Children hospitals around the world and has donated over $150,000 in its eight years of business.
Hospitals supported in Australia include: Mater Little Miracles, Brisbane, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney and The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Melbourne
