I love Christmas Craft! So when I came across a Candy Cane Vase on Pinterest I had to give it a whirl.
What you will need:
- empty clean large candle jar or vase
- Candy Canes (you don’t have to stick to just the classic red and white candy cane, you could try the mutli coloured ones)
- A Hot Glue Gun with lots of extra glue sticks
- Pretty Christmas Ribbon.
The first thing is to get set up for your crafternoon. Have everything you are going to need with in arms reach as the glue dries quickly. The jar that I used had a seam where the glass joined together. I used that as a marker to line my first candy cane against. I found that the easiest way to get the Candy Canes to line up was to make sure the hook part of that candy is even to the one beside it, don’t worry if some are longer than others. As long as the hooks line up it will look great.
Once you have stuck the Candy Canes right around, finish it off with some festive Christmas ribbon and then fill with some beautiful roses and enjoy.
A Candy Cane Vase would make a fantastic table centrepiece this Christmas!
