The Low Down On What You Wear Down Low

The Low Down on what you wear, down low….

Undies, grunders, dunders, panties, whatever you call them, we all wear them. Men are a little luckier when it comes to the undergarment issue, really only having a few different types to choose from, where the ladies are concerned however, there are many factors that must be considered when choosing what to push over your tush. I’ve selected some of the most popular cuts, types and shapes of undies and share with you how best to wear them for a happy little vegemite of a bum.

Briefs

Covering the hips and buttocks, briefs are probably the most widely known type of underwear. They provide full coverage and are known to be the most comfortable form for most women and younger girls. There are various cuts of briefs, some sitting quite low while others almost borderline being control underwear. French cut briefs have a higher leg cut and sounds sexier as they’re French. Briefs can be worn under comfortable clothing including jeans and loose fitting dresses. If VPL is of concern to you however, they’re not recommended for use under gym tights or tight fitting lycra dresses.

Bikini Bottoms

With waistbands thinner than briefs, bikinis are worn around the hips and don’t offer total bottom coverage. Bikinis are a popular choice of underwear however as, like briefs, they’re not overly revealing and are comfortable for daily wear. Also like their cousin Brief, they will expose your panty line if worn under tighter fitting clothing. They usually come in some nice and cute patterns too so if you’re into the ‘louder’ prints, do ensure you can’t see the colourful spots or stripes through your bottoms before heading out. G-String/Thong

Considered by some as the sexiest panties around, g-strings have very minimal to no bum coverage with thongs being very much the same except they tend to have wider lace or waistband at the sides. The wider waistband is great for creating a smooth effect under fitted clothing. G-Strings only cover the genital area at the front and have a small string that fits just right between the cheeks thus creating no visible panty line. They are the perfect partner for form-fitting pants, dresses, and anything that hugs your butt.

Hipsters

Hipsters are exactly as they sound, they sit low and hug your hips. They provide more coverage than the bikini cut but show a little more than the briefs. They tend to have coverage around the hip area and also come in tummy bulge reducing styles. Hipster cuts are often associated with younger girls as they have been described as best worn with low cut jeans and tiny tiny skirts.

BThe Low Down On What Your Wear Down Lowoylegs

Also known as boyshorts, boylegs are usually low cut and hang on the hips offering more length in the crotch/upper thigh area. Moulded from men’s underwear styles, boylegs are comfortable for daily wear but are considered to be quite a sexy style of underwear. It’s the old ‘you look sexy in my shirt’ kind of thing, me thinks. Worn comfortably under most pants, jeans, dresses and skirts, boylegs tend to be a very popular alternative to Summer PJs and lounging around-wear. The best thing about Boylegs – no panty line!  Yeah baby!  Be warned though, if you don’t buy the best size for you, boylegs do tend to roll up at the top of your thigh not comfy!

Brazilians/Cheekies

I consider brazilian and cheeky cut undies to be the most delectable form of underwear known to (wo)man. Skimpier than a bikini but more coverage than a thong, Brazilians sit beautifully around your bottom to make your cheeks look deliciously round and toned. They’re a great cut for curvaceous women and give tinier bums a lovely curve. They’re mostly quite comfortable and good to wear with very low cut pants or skirts and under dresses you’re looking to take off, if you know what I mean. They’re super sexy and do incite arousal so beware of your bum’s flair!

What type of undies do you prefer? Do you have an assortment or a trusted favourite?
