Family Essentials for a Two Week Corona Virus Quarantine
It doesn’t hurt to be prepared for anything – these are the family essentials you will absolutely need if a reinforced two week quarantine will be enforced.
The World Health Organisation recommends that households have 14 Days worth of supplies so you don’t have to leave home.
But what do you actually need?
What to Buy From the Chemist:
The Chemist is a great place to stock up on items that run out quite quickly at the supermarket. Think toilet paper and laundry detergent – enough to last you two weeks anyway!
Ensure that you are prepared in case the flu does hit your home, for both yourself and your partner, and the kids. There is nothing worse then heading out to the shops when you are feeling terrible – plus the whole point of the quarantine is to not leave home!
We recommend you ensure you have the following products (or similar):
- Betadine Sore Throat Gargle
- Hand Sanitizer
- Codral Cold & Flu
- Electrolytes (think Hydralyte or Gastrolyte)
- Betadine Sore Throat Lozenges
- Eucalyptus Chest Rub
- Cough Medicine
- Vicks Inhaler Nasal Decongestant
- A Thermometer
- Sambucol Kids Immunity Gummies
- Paracetamol
- Disinfectant
- Antiseptic Wipes
- Toilet Paper
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Hand Wash
- First Aid Kit
- A 30-Day Supply of any of your prescription medications
- Condoms or Birth Control
- A few tins of baby formula if you are bottle feeding
