Some find the doppelganger is more than a complete stranger. Anais Bordier felt she knew all about her own history. Living in France with her adopted family, she was aware her mother was a very young woman who’d given her up for adoption. Anais was happily studying Fashion at college when one day, she received an email with a YouTube video of her. Knowing she’d never appeared in a video, Anais curiously watched and found to her astonishment, the girl in the video was her mirror image. While she was intrigued about the stranger’s identity, but had no way of finding out any more information. Fortunately, friends helped her and as the other girl posted more videos, they eventually traced her down and she finally was able to contact her. The other’s young woman was Samantha Futerman, and as they shared information, they found similarities beyond their matching looks. They were born on the same day, and at the same clinic. It took a DNA test to confirm the girl’s suspicions…they were twins. Neither was told they had a sibling, much less a twin, but somehow fate, and their matching faces, brought them together.

Woman Finds Two Doppelgangers

If you are searching for your own doppelganger, you might not find it fair that Niamh Gearney of Ireland has found two. The twenty-seven-year old Gearney discovered her first duplicate Karen Branigan in the same country, Ireland. Sharing the exact appearance, they are both the same age, and even part their hair the same way. She then met her second doppelganger the same year the second day of a trip to Italy. According to Gearney, the other duplicate, Luisa Guizzardi looks and acts much the same as Gearney herself and Branigan. There is no word on whether or not the trio plans to get together and frighten the wits out of friends and relatives.

Many have found their near exact twin while searching through images online. No one has experienced any ill effects from this hobby so far, putting a little doubt to the early mystics’ dire warnings. There are doppelganger search engines dedicated to this purpose so finding your own double image is made easier. You can even find an app for your smart phone that will search for your nearest duplicate match. There are also low-tech methods of finding out if someone is your own duplicate human. The next time someone addresses you by another name, try to overcome the initial surprise, and ask a few questions. Find out the full name of this person you’ve been mistaken for, and if possible, find out as much as possible about this individual as you can. This puts you one step closer to discovering if you do in fact have a doppelganger walking the Earth with you.
